We are delighted to share the wonderful news that two of our former St. Finian’s students, Lucy Holmes and Eimear Kyle were elected as Scholars of Trinity College yesterday. We are very proud of Lucy & Eimear in achieving the academic standard required in their scholarship exams to win such a prestigious academic award. Congratulations ladies!
You could cut the tension with a laser in Lab 4 this morning, where Ms Martina Roache's fifth year Chemistry students took on her sixth years in the 'Chemists Have All The Solutions' Science week 2020 Chemistry quiz. Watch this space for the results later in the week.

Ms Caroline Grifferty shared an excellent link for sustainability. This formed the basis of class discussion for JC science classes.
Congratulations to Ruth Dolan, the Winner of the German ITIA Translation Competition for Secondary School students 2020. Ruth would normally be invited to an Awards ceremony in the Irish Writers Centre in Dublin. Given the current restrictions, this is not possible.
Congratulations to Sarah Mc Cormack who was awarded a Special Merit Award in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition 2020. Over 25,000 entries from all over Ireland were received this year. Sarah’s piece entitled’Even Stephen’ used both pencil and charcoal techniques blending black and white and colour imagery.
