St. Finian’s College Parents’ Advisory Council

The object of the Parents' Council is to :-

●To act as an advisory body on major school issues

●To promote the educational and general welfare interests of the students of the school

●To act as a forum for discussion, information and consultation about all matters pertaining to the school

The main way we achieve this is by getting involved in some or all of the following activities :-

●Raise general issues on behalf of parents

●Bring issues to Board of Management

●Contribute to school policies

●Attend meetings

●Organise fundraising events

●Assist with serving refreshments at school functions

●Organise relevant talks with parents

●Organise table quiz for 1st years involving their mentors

Partnership between the home and school is important because with positive and active partnership the child gets the best that secondary education can offer.
